1. Information We Collect

When you register on UPSC Predict, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. During payment, Razorpay (our payment gateway) processes your payment details — we do not store your card numbers, UPI IDs, or bank account information on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To provide access to your enrolled course content
  • To process payments via Razorpay
  • To send important service-related communications
  • To improve our platform and question quality

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on encrypted cloud databases. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS for all data transmission and implement industry-standard security practices.

4. Payment Information

All payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We only store the Razorpay order ID and payment ID for record-keeping. Your sensitive financial information is handled entirely by Razorpay under their privacy policy.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — specifically an HTTP-only authentication cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

  • Razorpay — payment processing
  • Neon (PostgreSQL) — database hosting
  • Netlify — website hosting

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
